FREMO membership
You have choosen this page, because you want to know,
how you can become a member of the FREMO, what fees are due
annually and what rights and obligations are connected with
a membership.
This questions will be answered, but first some remarks:
- This WWW-pages are unsuffiencient to present our club completely.
- If possible, visit one or more meetings before you decide.
- If, when and what type of activity is in your region depends
on you as well.
Most of our meetings are organized locally or in the region.
- If you model in an unsual scale or would like to recreate
a very special prototype, expect some distance to the next
member with similar interests.
- Everything you miss in our club can be organized by you.
Perhaps somebody with similar interests is only waiting for
your call.
- It might happen, that you will be the first FREMO member
in you country, but thats the way we started also here in
Germany and in the Netherlands.
Rights of the members
- Admission to all meetings and other events of of the FREMO.
- Subscription of the publications, in particular
Hp1 Modellbahn, our quarterly magazin.
- Access to internal WWW pages.
- Inclusion in the membership list, which is available to
all members.
- The usual rights you have in any German "e.V" =
incorporated club, like the right to vote and to be elected
to several offices etc.
Duties of the members
membership fee
The membership fee is due per calendar year,
irrespectively of the date of joining. The new member will
receive in exchange all publications of the running year.
Usually this is no problem as most newcomers have already
been to several meetings as guests. On request the membership
can start with the beginning of the next year, but of course
no back issues will be posted.
The annual fee for 2002 has been fixed to EUR 37,50
Support of the Club
We expect that our members back the goals of the club
and give some input to its further development.
Begin und termination of membership
Only natural persons can become members after written
application.
Our board will decide about the membership.
The membership is terminated:
- cancellation by the member by written notice
at least 6 weeks before the end of the running year.
- removal from the member list after nonpayment
of dues (automatically after 2 years unpaid)
- by the death of the member.
The membership is governed by German law
Application form
We have prepared an application form, which we would like
to receive on paper to our offical adress.
As one of the goals of our club is the friendship between
members, most of the items on the form will be available to
all members on the annual membership list.
Please save / print the
[application form] and send it
to us completed and signed by letter mail.
