Fremo and Digital Command Control

After unsuccessful trials with digital controls, we were for a long time quite reluctant to tackle this complex again.
Over here in Europe some manufacturers had developed their own systems, but only after the NMRA had formulated their standards, a new development started.

In our fractions H0-Europe, H0-USA and H0m we now have a strong tendency in favour of DCC.

Unfourtuneately we have two groups, which favour different systems: The minority is in favour of SELEKTRIX, whereas the majority has decided to use NMRA-DCC.
Other systems had no chance to qualify, as they could neither handle the size of our layouts nor did they support our operational demands.

Digital in general

Here you will find descriptions of several digital systems available with a certain emphasis on their use with modular layouts.
Furthermore links to manufacturers, software developers and users are available.
This page is available in German only.

DCC meets Fremo

A small working group has gathered information via the WWW about several digital systems since 1996. A decision towards NMRA-DCC became evident relatively soon.
You will find information about the discussion inside the group, reasons for decicions made and the do it yourself equipment we have developed.

This site is searchable:

Selectrix and FREMO

Another group has again introduced the Selektrix-System into our discussion and has organized some meetings as well.
The detailed WWW-pages these efforts are in German language only.

Artikel in HP1 Modellbahn

Usually we do not offer the complete articles of HP1 Modellbahn on the web. But as these are the essence of our discussion, we have deviated from this rule. The articles appear in the original language, just compiled to HTML code.
Accordingly the indexpage is also in German language only.
